CryptoSys API cryptography software manual

There are two manuals for CryptoSys API available in a variety of formats: the main manual and supplementary help file specifically for .NET programmers using the C# and VB.NET/VB2005/200x methods in the in the .NET Class Library.

Main Manual

The main manual has details of all the functions and .NET methods together with guidance on use, restrictions, and examples.

CryptoSys API Examples VB6 to VB.NET

New 2009-07-24: CryptoSys API Examples VB6 to VB.NET is a conversion of most of the VB6 examples in the CryptoSys API manual to VB.NET. It shows how to convert VB6 code to the equivalent VB.NET code.

Deprecated Functions

To keep the size of the manual down, we have removed the details for deprecated functions. These are functions that have been replaced with faster alternatives (e.g. old-style AES) or with safer or more logical arguments. See http://www.cryptosys.net/CryptoSysDeprecated.html.
